Amrita Thapar born in Pune India was the former Miss India 2005.
She represented India at the Miss Universe pageant.Thapar is a fashion designer, a stylist, a painter, a fashion writer and orator.[citation needed] She has been the spokesperson of Berlin and Maurtius tourism. She has been bestowed upon the honor by the Mauritian Prime Minister to be their Goodwill Ambassador for life[citation needed]. She was also an active founding member of the Commonwealth games in India.[citation needed] She was featured in Pankaj Udhas's album song "Jaaneman” and in music albums for Hariharan, Malkit Singh, Bhupinder and Mitali.
